How can the US, the only country in the world to have used nuclear bombs on an enemy population, the country with the more nuclear bombs than the rest of the world combined, the country that is spending hundreds of billions of dollars in the next 10 years to “modernize” its nuclear arsenal, have the audacity to order non-nuclear armed countries to remain that way?
Doesn’t it seem hypocritical to get upset with countries that feel they need to develop nuclear bombs to protect themselves against the countries that already have them?
How often have American politicians and pundits and even some military leaders suggested nuking someone (Iran the current favorite) that we are unhappy with?
Is the country with the most powerful military in the world, willing to use this force all over the world, really using this power for the betterment of its own citizens, let alone the other people in the world?
Would the US not have more credibility on issues of nuclear weapons if it lived up to all the nuclear treaties it has negotiated, signed and ratified?
Do the citizens of the US, and the peoples of the world, find this an acceptable situation?
